Places to visit

I’m starting a section on the places we’ve loved visiting which have helped us to play outside in the natural world more. Now B is 11 we don’t still go to all of them so they might be a bit out of date but hopefully this will help anyone with younger kids out there looking for ideas.

Most are in South Wales near where we live. Some are further afield as they’re near relatives or regular summer holiday destinations. Apologies if you’re not near these areas. Maybe there are similar establishments near you that are just as brilliant?

British Bird of Prey Centre outside flying arena

The British Bird of Prey Centre

An inspiring place and a great way to find out more about British birds of prey and begin to interact with them.

B and grandma at Mountain View Ranch

Mountain View Ranch

Near Cardiff and the M4, a great place to get kids discovering a natural environment and finding it’s a source of fun and wonder.
